Books & Videos

As a therapist, I frequently refer to books, videos, and websites for extra support and educational materials. I believe it's advantageous to get information straight from the source. These resources have not only enhanced my life but I also hope they can benefit yours.

Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh become one of the influential and beloved spiritual masters of our time. His book "The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching" offers comforting wisdom on the nature of suffering and our ability to create compassion, love, and joy.

The book "The Grieving Teen" serves as a guide for teenagers who are going through a difficult time of grief and loss. It is authored by Helen Fitzgerald, who has also written "The Grieving Child" and "Morning Handbook".

In her ADHD series, Dr. Tracey Marks discusses Time Management and ADHD paralysis, and offers effective tools to overcome these obstacles.

Stephen Covey's book focuses on principles to effectively lead self, influence, engage, and collaborate with others and continually improve and renew your capabilities.

Additional Resources

Here are some free resources that can help you learn more about mindfulness practices and connect with communities. While individual therapy can be helpful, it's not always possible to prioritize self-care. However, I encourage you to continue working on yourself through self-paced guides. I hope this information helps you on your journey towards healing and fulfillment.

Mindfulness Base Stress Reduction (MBSR) Palouse Mindfulness offers 100% free, self paced, 8-week course.  The program was founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation works to continue the mindful teachings and practice of Zen Master,  support our mindfulness practice centers around the world, and engage in Sangha (community) building in order to foster peace and transform suffering in all people, animals, plants, and our planet. Plum Village offers retreats and others ways to learn and engage.

Sydney Banks compilations of videos discussing his moving experiences, philosophy transforming consciousness to find beauty, love, and happiness.
